Data Challenges 2022
Our Data Challenges match companies from the region with innovative startups from Europe. In three months, they work together on cross-industry ideas, new ways of work and real data innovations.
What is the timeline?
- Apply with your startup between September 29th and November 10th 23:59 CET
- All application documents will be evaluated till mid of November
- A shortlist of startups will be invited to a remote pitch round November 24th – 28th
- Final announcement of the “winner” startups will take place on November 30th
- Actual project work will take place between January and April 2023
When will I receive the data?
The complete data set will only be available to the single startup, which is selected within the application process. In some cases, we might be able to provide a small data sample with the same structure.
When will I get feedback?
If you made it into the pitch round, you will be notified by beginning of November. In the pitch round you will have a video call with our corporate partner to pitch your solution approach one more time and answer questions by the experts. The pitch round will take place about November 10th – 14th.
Final announcement of all startup winners will take place on November 16th.
How to apply?
Visit the website of the challenge(s) you want to apply for and click the “apply” button. Complete the applications form and upload your application slide deck.
Who can apply?
Any startup can apply to our challenges. We only require a legal entity (eg. “VAT number”). Not sure, if you are still a startup? We do not have hard threshold. With very few exceptions, startups applying with us have <50 employees and are younger than 4 years. If working at your company feels like at a startup, you are welcome to apply.
Can I apply for more than one challenge?
Yes, absolutely. Feel free to apply for one or multiple challenges. Please register for every challenge separately and upload a customized slide deck every time.
Can international startups apply?
Yes, of course! We mainly focus on European startups, but all Challenges are open to worldwide applications.
